Nature Walk

I've decided to start doing a nature day for our homeschool. We are blessed enough to live very close to a small beachfront on a large river. So today we rode our bikes over to the beach. It was such a beautiful skies...sunshine...wonderful fragrance of honeysuckle in the air. Not only was I in great company...with my three beautiful gals...we got to see so many of God's creatures. Our first stop was at a rocky edge with lots of old washed out trees and wild plants and grasses. There were bright red ladybugs, little bitty snails on the rocks, and Osprey flying overhead. We moved a little further down the beach and saw four Great Blue Heron, a few ducks, a Brown Pelican, and more diving-for-fish Osprey.

I love taking the time to enjoy take note of all the little things that God chose to put on this earth.

This is the day the LORD has made. Let's rejoice and be glad today!
~Psalm 118:24

Oh, how I wish Kiddo and I had a place to go to like that. He would have an absolute blast. I can just imagine are very blessed!

And Heathahlee, have you forgotten about "Arkabutler"? Really. It's way underrated (sp?). We went a few weeks ago and had the same kind of day that HSingMama just described. It's where we saw the bald eagles, you know. Now you just have to find the time to go ;)

Really, HSing Mama, your day sounds great!
